Join us for a winter hike through Oglebay’s beautiful landscape on February 3. Registration will open at 9:00 am at Hess Shelter and the hike will depart at 10:00 am.
All participants can expect a fun-filled day of trail hiking, soup, hot chocolate and radiating heat from the fireplace at Hess Shelter. Be sure to bring your camera for those uniquely beautiful winter shots. Along the way, you’ll encounter spectacular views, waterfalls and wildlife.
All participants should arrive dressed for the weather with hiking boots and a warm coat. Participants will be outside for the duration of the hike which will last approximately 2-3 hours.

COST: $15 per person
TRAIL DETAILS: Length of hike is approximately 6 miles and will consist of the following trails: New portion of A.B. Brooks Trail, Bridle Trail, Serpentine Trail, the newly resurrected Burroughs Trail, Roosevelt Trail, Driehorst Trail and Falls Vista Trail.
LUNCH MENU: Chili, Vegetable Soup (Vegetarian), rolls, hot chocolate, coffee and water. Lunch will be served at Hess Shelter and guests are encouraged to warm up by the outdoor fireplace.
