Jumpstart your summer with a fun-filled Memorial Day celebration at Oglebay in Wheeling, WV! This exciting weekend features nonstop activities from live music, pool parties and kids’ zones to delicious food and incredible fireworks!

The party kicks off on Friday, May 22 with a pool party featuring a live DJ! Plus, live entertainment will be offered at various venues throughout the weekend. Prepare to be dazzled on Saturday, May 23 with our signature Memorial Day fireworks extravaganza as we build up to the first summer concert of the season at Oglebay’s outdoor amphitheater on Sunday, May 24.

*Package rate is priced per person and based on double occupancy. Package rate is based on use of Kline & Byrd Wing Rooms. Upgrades to West Wing and Lakeside are available for an additional fee per room, per night. One child 12 and under receives a complimentary Lodge stay, Mountaineer Breakfast and one activity wristband. Package holder may purchase amenity packages for additional children ages 12 and under for $20 per child. Package subject to applicable taxes and fees and does not include gratuities.




Lace up your sneakers and join us for the Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk on Monday, May 25 at 9:00 a.m. Race day registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the main entrance of Oglebay Good Zoo. The first 30 participants to register by May 18 will receive a t-shirt!

The race will begin and end in the upper parking lot of the Good Zoo. The race course will consist of the Susan Wheeler and Arboretum Trails that weave throughout the park. This hard-surface course is stroller friendly. Dogs are encouraged to participate, but must remain on a leash at all times.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place finishers in the following three categories: Men & Women; Boys & Girls Ages 17 and Under; and Canines. 

Light refreshments will be provided for all participants.

5K Registration 

Registration fee is $25 per person. The first 30 participants to register by May 20 will receive a t-shirt! Participants may register at 8:00 a.m. on race day at the Good Zoo main entrance or online. Online registration closes Saturday, May 23 at 11:59 p.m. Race day registration payments must be provided in cash or check.
