*Package rate is priced per room. Guests receive one commemorative Oglebay tote and beach towel per stay. Up to two (2) children ages 12 and under receive one (1)  complimentary overnight stay and one (1) activity wristband. Package holder may purchase additional activity wristbands at the discounted rate of $9 each. Package is subject to applicable taxes and fees and does not include gratuities. A minimum of two consecutive nights required. Additional restrictions may apply.

Saturday, August 31

9:00 – 11:00 a.m. – *Tiny Tots Play Room – Join us in Wilson Lodge for exciting children’s entertainment designed for kids ages 5 and under.  Kids will enjoy variety of toys, coloring books, and a children’s movie, and more. 

9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.- Homemade Ice Cream at Schenk Lake- Drop by Schenk Lake and celebrate summer with all your favorite hand dipped flavors. 

9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – Segway Tours- The ultimate high-tech 90 minute tour of Oglebay Park.  These scenic adventures depart from Schenk Lake Boathouse, taking riders through the hard-surface trail system.

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.- Annual Woodcarver’s Show– Witness the work of talented woodcarvers from across the country, as they come together to showcase their artistic creations. View carvings of all types ranging from large to small, with most offered for sale.

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.- 22nd Annual Fort Henry Days- Explore an 18th-century living-history encampment showcasing colonial and Native-American cultures located at Site 1 and Levenson Shelter.

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Good Zoo- Experience more than 50 unique species, 20 of which are rare or endangered. Don’t miss the new WV Conservation Center featuring bobcats and the rare hellbender salamander.

11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.- Crispin Center Outdoor Pool & Fountains of Fun– Get ready for a fun filled day at Crispin Center Pool featuring inflatables, a climbing rock wall, and the Fountains of Fun attraction. 

11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Route 88 Brew & BBQ– Celebrate Labor Day with an all American BBQ feast at Oglebay’s newest dining venue- Route 88 Brew & BBQ. Indulge in our house-smoked pork, beef brisket and chicken. Grab a S’mores kit and gather around the fire pit for a memorable evening under the stars.

11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Garden Bistro– Grab a seat on the Garden Bistro porch and enjoy farm-to-table dining with panoramic views of the park or call ahead for a picnic basket complete with tapas, bistro sandwiches and wine for a fun picnic on the grass. 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. – *Adult Craft Class- Join us in the Fort Henry Room for a free adult craft class where you’ll make a special item to commemorate your time at Oglebay.

2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – FREE Face Painting & Balloon Art with Doozy the Clown- Stop by Schenk Lake for an afternoon of face painting and balloon art the kids are sure to enjoy.

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Inflatable Rides & Rock Climbing Wall- Located in the lower parking lot near Schenk Lake.

3:00 p.m. – Battle for Fort Henry at Camp Russell– Witness the acclaimed battle re-enactment of the siege of Fort Henry with young Betty Zane’s heroic run for gunpowder.

3:00 -3:30 p.m. – *Craft Your Way- Join us in Hickman Lounge for a free craft class where you’ll make a special craft to commemorate your trip to Oglebay. 

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Pedal Boat Races- Stop by Schenk Lake for the annual Pedal Boat Race. 

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Dive After Five: Discounted Admission to Crispin Center Outdoor Pool & Fountains of Fun- Dive in after 5:00 p.m. and enjoy reduced admission rates- $3.00 adult admission, $1.00 child admission.

5:30 -6:15 p.m.- *Manager’s Welcome Reception –  Join us on the West Spa Patio as we kick off Labor Day weekend by welcoming all Wilson Lodge and Cottage guests with complimentary live entertainment and refreshment. 

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Smokin’ Saturday Night– Join us at Route 88 BBQ & Brew for a smokin’ evening complete with free live entertainment by Jeff Suddoth, delicious smoked BBQ, craft brews and ciders, lawn games and s’mores by the fire pit.

9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. – Live from Glassworks Grill– Pull up a chair at Glassworks Grill for an evening of live entertainment with local favorite Dustin McCray.

7:00 p.m. – ‘Music Under the Stars’ with the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra – Join us in the amphitheater as the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra brings out all the stars for its 90th birthday celebration concert! Featuring local artists Hit Play and Nate Strasser, this FREE concert will have you on your feet with classical favorites, a world-premiere commission, pop hits throughout the decades, and a special guest appearance by the Wheeling Symphony Youth Orchestra. Plus, John Devlin, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra’s 9th conductor, will lead the show in his inaugural performance. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. with kids activities in the Formal Gardens, The Cheese Melt food truck, free Twin Pops sponsored by Budget Saver, a $5 ice cream sundae bar, and pony rides in Mansion Woods. The talented Wheeling Country Day School Choir takes the stage at 7 p.m. ‘Music Under the Stars’ begins at 7:30 p.m.

9:30 p.m. – Labor Day Fireworks Extravaganza- Bring a blanket and grab a spot near the amphitheater for optimal viewing. Fireworks will follow the conclusion of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra performance.

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Mini Golf Tournament–  Stop by the Mini Golf Course near Schenk Lake for the annual Mini Golf Tournament. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in the following categories: Kids (Ages 10 and under); Adults (Ages 10 and up).

This event provides local dogs and their owners the chance to swim in the outdoor pool during the final hours of summertime operation. Guests must present proof of current rabies vaccine.

Face painting and balloon art are free amenities for all guests to enjoy. Activities will take place near Schenk Lake.

  • Inflatable Rides- $2.00 per session or $5.00 for unlimited inflatable use. Inflatable rides are included with purchase of Daily Activity Wristband.

Daily Activity Wristbands- $18.95 per day
