42nd Annual Oglebayfest
October 4-6, 2019

Oglebayfest began in 1978 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Oglebay Park. Today, Oglebayfest has grown into a major festival which serves as both a celebration of fall and a token of appreciation for all who visit and support Oglebay Park throughout the year.

    Phil Maxwell Artists' and Gourmet Market

    Located in Mansion Woods next to the Mansion Museum, Oglebay Institute’s Phil Maxwell Artists’ and Gourmet Market features regional foods and an extensive display of handcrafted wares. Plus, visitors can see some of the tri-state’s most skilled artisans at work while enjoying live entertainment on the Mansion Woods stage.

    Oglebayfest Eats

    The Rathskeller, located at Hess Shelter, is one of Oglebayfest’s most anticipated destinations. This German style beer garden offers dozens of seasonal and domestic brews. The Wagon Shed, located next to Hess Shelter, also offers German inspired favorites.

    The Country Kitchen and the Ohio County Country Fair will also be serving up delicious goodies and home-cooked favorites at Levenson Shelter, and the Phil Maxwell Artists’ and Gourmet Markets features a variety of food trucks, kettle corn, and other must-try festival foods.

    Festival-goers can also grab a bite a Oglebay’s Garden Bistro or Ihlenfeld Dining Room, and snacks, sandwiches and sweets are available at the Good Zoo, Schenk Lake, Farmhouse Sweets & Treats Shoppe and Hilltop Coffee & Tea.

    Phil Maxwell Artists’ and Gourmet Markets: Shop Mansion Woods for handcrafted items by dozens of WV artisans and gourmet foods while enjoying live music. Open Oct. 4 from 12 – 7 pm; Oct. 5 from 10 am – 7 pm; Oct. 4 from 11 am – 5 pm.

    Farmhouse Sweets & Treats Shoppe: Enjoy Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream, seasonal gifts and sale items. Open Oct. 4 & 5 from 9 am – 8 pm;  Oct. 6 from 10 am – 5 pm.

    Carriage House Glass: Featuring glass items made in the USA, works by local artists and refreshments at Hilltop Coffee & Tea. Open Oct. 4 & 5 from 9 am – 8 pm;  Oct. 6 from 10 am – 5 pm. 

    Palm Room Greenhouse: Offering seasonal plants and garden treasures. Open Oct. 4 & 5 from 10 am – 7 pm;  Oct. 6 from 10 am – 5 pm.

    Oglebayfest Parade & Fireworks

    Two crowd-pleasing favorites, the Oglebayfest parade and fireworks, will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Oglebay Good Zoo, and an electrifying fireworks display will light up the evening sky over Schenk Lake at 8:00 p.m.

    Ohio County Country Fair

    Located at Levenson Shelter, the Ohio County Country Fair features displays of elaborate quilts, homegrown foods, and gentle animals on Saturday and Sunday. The fair offers a variety of traditional fair demonstrations and competitions for all ages including quilting demonstrations, butter making, hog calling, fiddling, rock throwing, and baby crawling competitions. It is also host to the West Virginia Pony Pull Championship and the baked goods auction.

  • Oglebayfest 5k Run/Walk photo

    Oglebayfest 5k Run/Walk

    Join in the annual Oglebayfest 5K Run/Walk held on Sunday, October 6 at 9 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers. The race begins and ends at the Oglebay Good Zoo. Proceeds of the race will benefit Oglebay Foundation’s Access to the Parks project which grants complimentary park access to more than 2,000 children in need each year. Online race registration ends October 4 at 11:55 p.m. Race day registration opens at 8 a.m. on October 6 at the Good Zoo entrance. Only cash and check will be accepted on race day.
