EQT and Wheeling Park Commission Launch Forestry Management Program at Oglebay

WHEELING, W.V. – EQT Corporation (NYSE: EQT) today announced the Company’s first nature-based carbon offset initiative. EQT has partnered with the Wheeling Park Commission; Teralytic, a soil analytics company; and Climate Smart Environmental Consulting, LLC, to implement forest management projects that will generate carbon offsets. The projects, which will span more than 1,000 acres of forest land at Oglebay and other forest property owned by the Wheeling Park Commission, will utilize Teralytic’s soil probe technology to ensure the quantification of offsets is accurate and transparent.

Oglebay Welcomes Newest Almost Heaven Swing

WHEELING, W.V. – The West Virginia Department of Tourism, in partnership with Oglebay and Wheeling Park Commission, has announced a new Almost Heaven swing located in the state’s northern panhandle. This swing is perched upon the scenic mountains of Oglebay, just off the Susan Wheeler Walking Trail on the western side of the arboretum.

Oglebay Good Zoo Receives AZA Accreditation 

WHEELING, W.V. – Oglebay Good Zoo is excited to announce its recent accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) during this year’s Annual Conference in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The AZA’s independent Accreditation Commission reviews applications twice a year from top zoos, aquariums, and related facilities worldwide. This year, 33 facilities received this prestigious accreditation.
