Make the most of your time at Oglebay with an activity band! Activity bands are available Memorial Day through Labor Day and include all-day access to all your favorite park activities, including the Good Zoo, outdoor pool, trolley rides, museums, and more!
Pedal Boating, Aqua Cycles, and Kayaks
Two-seat pedal boats, Aqua Cycles, and both one- and two-seat kayaks are available. No private boating is available.
Pedal Boats: $7.95/20 minute ride

Explore Oglebay’s beautiful 2,000-acre park in a whole new way through the ultimate high-tech ride! The Segway Personal Transporter is the perfect way to explore the scenic beauty of Oglebay. Tours take riders on an adventure through the park’s hard-surface trail system to enjoy breath-taking scenery. Segways are environmentally friendly — no gas, no fumes and almost no noise. Plus, they’re easy to learn and fun to ride.
Located next to the playground, adjacent to Schenk Lake, this 18-hole course features a variety of obstacles that will challenge the whole family.
Kids (Ages 6 & under): $5.95
The playground across from Schenk Lake offers a variety of kid-friendly equipment protected by a safety surface consisting of two layers of cushioning.
Aerial Challenge Course
Discover the adventurer in you as you take on the Aerial Challenge Course. With exhilarating combinations of rope walks, obstacles, and climbs, you will come face-to-face with the ultimate test of physical fitness and mental toughness. This course is perfect for team building or family fun! Participants must be 60″ tall to enjoy the course independently. Those who are 48-59″ tall may enjoy the course with an accompanying adult 60″ or taller.
Schenk Lake is stocked with bass, trout, and catfish annually. Fishing poles are available for rent, and bait is available for purchase at Schenk Lake’s Boathouse. Guests may choose to release their catch back into Schenk Lake or purchase the fish at the Boathouse. Price is determined by size of the fish. Adults: $5.95 Kids (Ages 17 and under): $4.95 Pole Rental: $4.95 per pole
Walking & Hiking Trails
Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll or a calorie-burning workout, the Susan Wheeler and Arboretum trails provide spectacular views of Oglebay’s picturesque landscape. These hard-surface trails are stroller friendly and ideal for walking leashed dogs.
