In 2016, Oglebay Good Zoo partnered with West Liberty University as part of the fourth Bachelor’s degree major in Zoo Science in the United States. The Good Zoo is the only Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited institution to formally partner with a university in providing applied, hands-on learning opportunities for future zoo professionals. .

West Liberty University Master’s Degree in Zoo Science

In 2018, Oglebay Good Zoo partnered West Liberty University as part of the first online Master’s Degree in Zoo Science in the United States. Courses are available online with applied one-week laboratory sessions hosted at Oglebay Good Zoo.
