Guided Trolley Tours
Enjoy the Winter Festival of Lights from the comfort of the Oglebay Trolley! Trolley tours depart Wilson Lodge hourly from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. November 6, – January 10.
$12 per person +tax & fees

The Frosted Hilltop
Prepare to be enchanted by a variety of festive activities suitable for children and adults alike at The Hilltop. Hope a ride on the Snowflake Express Train, roast marshmallows by the fire pit, or snag an adult hot cocoa at the Ice Lounge. Whatever your pleasure, you’ll find it at The Frosted Hilltop.
NEW- Magical Mansion Show
Prepare to be dazzled as Oglebay’s iconic mansion comes alive nightly from 6 – 11:45 p.m. with an animated 5-minute light show choreographed to your favorite holiday hits!
NEW- Santa's Workshop
That’s right, the big guy himself will be at Oglebay’s Good Zoo nightly from 6-8 p.m. to hear all those holiday wishes. Plus, guests receive one free digital photo with Good Zoo admission throughout the Festival of Lights season!
Santa will also be available on Fridays from 3:30 -5 p.m. at Hickman Lounge on the second floor of Wilson Lodge.
Holidays At The Mansion
The Mansion Museum, which was the summer home of industrialist and philanthropist Earl W. Oglebay, is lavishly decorated for the holidays! Explore the Mansion’s 13 period rooms and enjoy the stunning displays. From simple elegance to the extravagant, you’ll find decorating inspiration to take back to your own home.
Nightly Candy Cane Cordial
Gather around the fireplace in Hickman Lounge, located on the second floor at Wilson Lodge, for free holiday programming and complimentary refreshments nightly from 7 – 10 p.m.

The first snow of the holiday season is one of the most magical sights. Now you can relive the magic of the first snow every night of the week at Oglebay’s Good Zoo as our magical snowman puts on a dazzling display to remember. Don’t forget your camera!
NEW- Elf Digital Scavenger Hunt
Grab your smart phone and get ready for our new, virtual scavenger hunt featuring seven stations located throughout Wilson Lodge. Unlock clues by scanning QR codes at each station for a chance to win weekly prizes!
NEW- Character Story Time
Join us nightly at the Elf Zone in Wilson Lodge for a magical story time with your favorite holiday characters as they share stories and take pictures. Stick around after story time for a nightly holiday movie!

Merry & Bright Candy Cane Hunt
Thursdays, November 5-December 17 from 4:15-5:00 p.m.
First, craft a holiday bag. Then, walk along the nature trails around the Schrader Center to see how many candy canes you can find. Certain ones may win you a prize! After you return, enjoy hot chocolate to warm you up. Adults must accompany their children.
Admission is $5 per person. All ages welcome. Pre-registration is not required. Program not held November 26.
Wreath Making Workshops
Wednesdays, November 4-December 16 from 2:15 – 3:00 p.m.
Create a holiday wreath with fresh ingredients at the Schrader Center at Oglebay. Using a cardboard base, fresh evergreen boughs, berries and ribbon, you’ll make a beautiful wreath that will evoke the beauty of the season to wherever it’s hung!
$5 per person. All ages welcome. Pre-registration is not required. Workshop not held November 25.
Holiday Pottery Painting
Mondays, November 2-December 14 from 1:30-2:00 p.m.
Visit the Schrader Center at Oglebay to paint your own piece of holiday pottery.
Choose from a variety of ceramic pieces including a snowman, Santa, cookie plate and more. Then, use your creativity to paint it your favorite holiday colors. A perfect holiday craft for kids and young families to create together!
Admission is free. Cost of ceramic pieces range from $3-$12. Pottery must be left overnight to be fired and may be picked up the following day.
Ornament Making & Story Time
Fridays, November 6-December 18 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Visit the Schrader Center in Oglebay to create some all-natural holiday ornaments.
We’ll being with a reading of Eve Bunting’s Night Tree – a beautifully illustrated story of a family’s unusual tradition that brings to life the true spirit of the season. After the reading, sip hot cocoa as you create some all-natural holiday decorations to take home or put on the the Schrader Center’s own night tree.
